The nineties of the twentieth century in Poland were the times, which saw plenty of change. Among many fields that were affected by those changes was the automobile industry, or, to be more precise – the new and used cars market. Poland witnessed a massive flow of used cars from the western countries, mainly from Germany and the Netherlands. But which cars were most popular? The answer is relatively easy – used BMW cars. These used BMW units may have different connotations nowadays (used BMW, especially the series 5 and series 7), but at the time of their previous introduction they were like a dream come true for plenty of people, beginning from small businessman, through to medium-class members and aspirating to higher levels of society. Younger drivers were also treated and so for them owning a used BMW was more important other things in life. These days, due to rapid changes that have been taking place in the minds and pockets of the Polish people, the frenzy for used BMW vehicles has passed – even though it is still evident that they are still in circulation on the nations’ roads. Nevertheless, plenty of people still consider the BMW brand as a classic and not to mention that models like the BMW 850i are still undoubtedly head-turners wherever you see them.
